Astorre Leo Bucciarelli

February 24, 1929 - December 21, 2022

Astorre Leo Bucciarelli, ‘Pete’ to his friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Dec. 21, 2022 at Peninsula Reflections, Colma, CA. He was just 2 months shy of turning 94. A Korean War Air Force veteran, he was the classic Bay Area suburban,
hard-working family man, putting his 3 children through college. Not to mention, help
funding his twin granddaughters, Alexa and Nicole through USF Nursing. As a Balboa grad, class of ’46, he was a long-time, local-yokel “Geezer”. He was mostly street smart, although he did earn an AA degree from CCSF in 1949. His life’s passion was playing basketball. His shooting talent seemingly skipped a generation, and was passed on to his youngest grand kid, Cassandra, who plays high school varsity ball as a mere freshman. He enjoyed life with family and friends. He partook in sports spectating, golfing, and a little Texas Hold’em now and then. Pete was a buyer in the music industry and shared many colorful stories about some of the recording artists he met along the way. In his later years, he was a custodian at Jefferson and Oceana high schools up until his retirement in 1993. No formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of a donation to any organization, think about a gesture Pete would do: helping out a family member or a friend in need. May he rest in eternal peace and be reunited with his sister Mary who passed away in 2018.
