Carole Ann (Curry) Stone passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025. Carole was born to Jim and Matilda Curry on September 2, 1940 in Miami, Florida where she attended Hialeah High School. She went on to attend the University of Florida and later graduated from Barry University. Carole had an unforgettable, vibrant personality that would brighten any room. Carole’s passions included bridge where she became a Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League, golfing, entertaining, boating, spending time with friends and family and of course, her “Grandma Trips” with her grandsons. Later in life, Carole discovered she had a hidden talent for painting. Carole’s family and loved ones will enjoy the legacy of her beautiful paintings for years to come.
Carole is survived by her daughters Sharilynn Stone Collins (Ray) and Cynthia Stone Lax (Matthew); her sister Rosalyn Craver (Robert), her beloved grandsons Zachary Nathan Alan Lax and Connor James Lax; her many cherished nieces and nephews and her bonus family Leann Collins Pacitto (Stephen), Caroline Collins Jenkins (Wendell), Joshua Jenkins, Jackson Cabana and Rudy Pacitto.
While she will be deeply missed, Carole’s family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace and free of pain. The family would like to thank her caregivers, especially Virginia Brunette, for their compassion and love. A special thank you to the Prawer Medical Group for years of wellness and support and to the staff at Suncoast Hospice Care Center at Bayfront Hospital for their exceptional care.
