Scott Anthony Wampler, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2025, in Colorado. Born on July 23, 1967, in Dayton, Ohio, Scott was the beloved son of the late Jack and Dorothy Ann (Roth) Wampler.
Scott grew up in Englewood, Ohio, and graduated from Northmont High School. A passionate sports fan, he especially loved cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and the New Jersey Devils—a joy that stayed with him throughout his life.
He had a deep love for children and animals—especially his rescue dogs, who were cherished companions and a constant source of comfort. Spending time with his nieces and nephews brought him great happiness. He also enjoyed fishing, and few things brought him more peace than a quiet day by the water.
Scott lived by a personal motto that reflected his spirit:
"Enjoy life to the fullest whenever possible, because it's way too short."

He is survived by his siblings: Karen Wampler, Kim (Pat) Whitfield, Jeffrey Wampler, and Amanda (Shannon Markham) Wampler; nieces and nephews: Madeline Miller, Jacob Miller, Michaela Wampler, Jackson Wampler, Becky (Tim) McDonald, Bryant (Jill) Smrdel, Kallie (Zach) Blevins, Brooke (Brayden) Bradshaw, and Spencer Markham; and great-nieces and nephews: Jacob, Georgie, Maeve, Isla, Eli, and Berkley. He is also remembered fondly by many extended family members and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Jack Wampler, his beloved Uncle Phillip Roth and Aunt Mary West, along with other cherished family members.
He will be dearly missed.
